The Bridgewater Fire Marshal is responsible for reviewing fire safety elements of development site plans and new construction plans and Annual, semi-annual, and quarterly fire prevention inspections are performed on commercial properties as required by the State New Jersey Uniform Fire Code. In addition, smoke detector and carbon monoxide alarm compliance inspections are performed prior to change of occupancy by sale, lease or rent.
